Restoration

Today’s post is about digging into the broken places in your life. It’s about restoration.

I was thinking about what spiritual post I wanted to end the year with, and the word ‘restoration’ appeared in my mind. I like when the Holy Spirit talks back to me! When I thought of the meaning of this word, I thought to myself, this is what I need in my life. I don’t know about you, but I need some things to be restored in my personal life. I need God’s help to overcome some personal mountains that I’ve been combating.

Growth Mindset

As we approach a new year, I’d like us all to focus on building a growth mindset. I do not want any of you to stay rooted in a fixed mindset.

Why?

Because I know that all of us have at least one dream – at least one thing – that we all want for ourselves, our families, our children, and/or businesses.

And achieving a dream requires us to step outside of our comfort zones. Otherwise, you would have already achieved your dream!

First, we must give credit where it is due. The concept of a growth mindset and a fixed mindset was created by psychologist Carol Dweck. Second, a mindset refers to your attitude and belief about something.

 Currently, how do you practice gratitude? Today, I want to discuss 5 ways to practice gratitude in our lives. I believe that gratitude is a skill that we all must cultivate.

Consequently, cultivating gratitude allows us to strengthen our mindset, boost self-esteem, build healthier relationships, and develop stronger boundaries.

In the US, Thanksgiving is celebrated the last Thursday of November. During the month of November, most people focus on things they are grateful for and may consider ways they can show gratitude to others.

To improve your mental health, you must first recognize that mental health is not separate from other areas of health. As the Bible, James Allen, therapy, and countless others have taught us, we are what we think.

 

Beliefs feed habits

Your beliefs, values, thoughts, and emotions are manifested in the way you behave, the practices and activities that you engage in, and the discipline and responsibility you either choose to or choose not to uphold.

If you want to improve your life and your health, then consider your consumption. Consider the things that you put into your body physically, consider the content that you listen to, and consider the people that you surround yourself with.

Willingness to Please God

Do you have willingness to please God? Is it your desire to be obedient to God’s will for your life? Or do you just want Him to bless your own desires?

 

What is willingness to please God?

The Bible says that, “Without faith, it’s impossible to please God” – Hebrews 11:6. I think that we need faith to be willing to please God. To please God, we must have a heart that wants to please God. Then, with intention, we must create a plan to carry out God’s instructions to us. It is necessary to be intentional and purposeful with our willingness to please God.
