Domestic Violence (DV) is abuse that occurs by one partner against the other to obtain and maintain control over the other partner and the relationship. Domestic violence is also known to some people as intimate partner violence (IPV). DV can be physical and/or psychological. We must remember that race and culture does not exempt from anyone from experiencing DV.

Submitting to God’s Will

What is it like, submitting to God’s will?

Recently, I was having a discussion with a relative about something they wanted for themselves. We were talking about praying to God about this goal that my relative wanted to achieve. She wanted to know that God would grant her what she wanted to achieve. I think this is where many of us, including believers, have difficulty with trusting God. Submitting to God’s will is not what we set out to do; instead, we want God to submit to our will.

I pointed out to her that she should pray about this goal, but when she prayed about it, she must show humility to God. I told her to pray the words, ‘If it is Your will…if it is not Your will, help me to receive Your answer and accept whatever that answer is.’

Benefits of a morning routine

So, following on the heels of last week’s post read it right here on the definition, usefulness, and the importance of a morning routine, let’s get into the benefits of a morning routine.

  • Discipline – Though we may view the word ‘discipline’ in a bad way. We all need discipline through structure, strategy, and planning. Many of us do not plan, strategize, or organize our lives. This leaves us coasting and existing for days, which turn into weeks, then months, and eventually years.

This type of living has left many people filled with regret, disappointment, discontentment, scarcity, and eventually wishing for a do over.

Do you have a morning routine?

Do you have a morning routine? Or do you roll out of bed, rush to get dressed, and race out the front door?

Or are you a night owl? Even being a night owl can give you space to prepare for the next day.

A morning routine, as the name suggests, is a routine or habit that you practice every morning upon waking.

But let’s face it, everyone is not a morning person (I am, but my husband isn’t). This habit/routine can be done the night before. The goal is to build a routine that fits your lifestyle, schedule, and personality.
